AITEC Farm - Education Programs

The Agricultural Innovation and Technology Centers (AITEC) run by CultivAid, are modernized demonstration farms that serve as hubs of innovation, education, and crop production. 

The AITEC farm in Dodoma, Tanzania, collaborates with the Global FEWture Alliance to provide experiential education for our UMD Global STEWARDS fellows on the Winter Amp study abroad trips. We also sponsor an internship for MUST undergraduates in the agricultural sciences. 

AITEC Dodoma supports education resilient agriculture in several areas:

• Local farmer and student training programs
• Advanced drip irrigation and fertilization techniques for arid climates
• Seedling production center for essential crops
• Research and development center for new approaches to technology and education
• Renewable energy capacity on-site
