Our Values
- Climate Courage: We envision the steep and multidimensional challenges caused by climate change as an opportunity to foster innovation and blend technical solutions with humane projects designed to benefit the local communities in which they are based. These benefits include greater climate resilience and measurable gains in public health that result from diversified healthful diets, local renewable energy, and clean, accessible water and sanitation.
- Ecosystem Ethics: Though the primary beneficiaries of our work are humans, we recognize, value, and support non-human life in ecosystems and embrace an ethic of more sustainable and integrated practices between humans and their environments.
- Equality and Reciprocity: We work across the globe to find creative solutions to FEW nexus challenges, and equally value contributions made by all of our partners in the Global North and the Global South.
- Excellence in our Interdisciplinary Work: We strive for excellence in interdisciplinary research, capacity building, and education to address FEW nexus challenges of the present and the future.
- Inclusivity and Social Justice: We embrace social justice as a cornerstone of the Alliance’s ethos, and are committed to fostering equity, inclusivity, hope, and empowerment for all individuals, irrespective of race, gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, or any other characteristic.
- Replicability: We work to scale our impact by developing project models that are replicable and can be implemented in other world regions, independently from the Global FEWture Alliance.
