Yuval Ziv

Yuval Ziv is an impact and sustainability entrepreneur. At the Global FEWture Alliance, he acts as a co-PI and coordinator on behalf of the Hebrew University. Yuval’s primary goal within the Alliance is to further develop channels through which food, energy, and water entrepreneurial projects can increase the Alliance’s impact. Through his work FEW innovations will be able to access the outreach of the Alliance to geographies and challenging settings, as well as to human capital and expertise.

Yuval’s background is diverse and deep. It includes the foundation of the social impact startup, WaterComms, and its Water System Network that has been piloted in Kisumu, Kenya. This is a hybrid human-technological model, consisting of a web-platform and implemented by local Field Agent teams, that aims to add a minimum of 50 days per year of system functionality. Yuval has also gained significant experience in urban planning and innovation ecosystem development, intercultural teamwork, water technologies, operations and market research, and fundraising for social causes.
