Taiwo Alawode
Taiwo is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Global, Environmental, and Occupational Health (GEOH) at the University of Maryland. She obtained her Master of Public Health in Environmental Health at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where she also earned a Bachelor in Wildlife Management.
She is a UMD Global STEWARDS NSF-NRT Fellow, trained at the Food-Energy-Water Nexus. Her research interest lies in exploring the safety aspects of water reuse, innovative, and Indigenous treatment technologies that can effectively contribute to climate resilience in low-income and marginalized communities.
