Mbeya University's College of Agriculture was established in 2022. The university is in the process of building its curriculum with several BA programs. Collaboration with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and UMD will leverage and strengthen Mbeya's development by lending the experience of our well-established partners.
Israel FEWture have established a team at HU that will interact with Mbeya University partners to support the capacity building of Mbeya's research and academics. The team will initiate a visit of department heads or relevant faculty who will be dedicated to supporting development of the curriculum and courses, supporting research collaboration, and fostering student exchange.
In reciprocation, the management staff of Mbeya’s agricultural college will visit Israel. The visit will enable the university to understand research and teaching methods, lab work, Israel’s agricultural ecosystem and to develop long term relations with HU, UMD and CultivAid.
